Delta Pietro (Vannucci) Perugino Limited Edition Fountain Pen

DELTA, Artigiani della Scrittura, has designed a majestic fountain pen collection with a unique and elegant shape in limited edition made to celebrate the 500th anniversary of one of the greatest masters of Italian art - Pietro Vannucci (1523 - 2023) called "IL PERUGINŎ". 

This pen is designed to represent the aesthetics and artistic genius of a painter who left an indelible mark in the Italian art history. 

It is in the beautiful city of Perugia that his history begins, where he refines his talent by attending local workshops, up to Florence, where he is working alongside personalities such as Leonardo Da Vinci and Sandro Botticelli. "Il Perugino" is recognized as a master in painting landscapes and human figures with extreme elegance and harmony. 

One of the most famous masterpieces of "Il Perugino" is the "Delivery of the Keys to Saint Peter", a fresco made in the Sistine Chapel, in the Vatican (Rome). 

This work is considered one of the best examples of linear perspective and architectural representation, as well as an icon of Renaissance and religious painting. 

The fountain pen evokes colors and architectural decorative elements present in most of the extraordinary works of "Il Perugino"; It is made of special resin hand-turned from solid bar. The band placed on the cap is gold plated 925 sterling silver (vermeil), made according to the ancient techniques of craftsmanship of goldsmith art, called "lost wax". The cap is enriched by a special clip and a cabochon, both made in "lost wax" fusion. At the end of the barrel takes place the "octagonal" decoration representing the geometric symbolism typical of "Il Perugino", the same decoration that is engraved on the barrel. 

Limited to only 188 pieces worldwide, the fountain pen is provided by fixed piston filling system with end-of-stroke clutch.

The nib is in 14kt gold, available in: EF, F, M, B, STUB 1.1, FX EF, FX F, and engraved with the Delta logo.
